MTA’s Shoppes at Sun Mountain location is fully equipped with an experiential multi-use auditorium and conference room, the MTA Tech Center. The facility's high-tech, interactive meeting spaces are available for registered businesses and non-profits to host meetings, workshops, educational events, and more. The center features an advanced presentation setup, and of course — fast, reliable connectivity.
All donations and fees will go directly to the MTA Foundation’s charitable contribution fund. The MTA Foundation serves to pioneer technology growth and economic development throughout Alaska with its robust scholarship program, donations, and monumental major grants.
The MTA Tech Center, consisting of an auditorium with a video wall and conference room, is available for use by registered businesses and non-profits. The center cannot be used for events involving weapons of any kind, illegal drugs, alcohol, gambling, animals, or that have a religious or political affiliation.

The MTA Tech Center has additional resources and equipment that are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no additional cost. A detailed resource and equipment list is provided on the intake form and must be requested in advance. Additional equipment not provided by MTA will be paid for by the user and must be approved by MTA staff.
Room setup and equipment requests must be finalized no later than five business days prior to the event. The groups using the space are responsible for the set-up and cleaning of the rooms.
Catering and outside food/refreshments are allowed. Food storage and preparation facilities are not available. User responsible for cleanup and removal of garbage prior to scheduled departure time. The garbage container is available for use, and is located to the right, as you walk out from the front door.
Alcohol is not permitted at The MTA Tech Center.

A half day is 4 or fewer hours; a full day is more than 4 hours during one calendar day. The MTA Tech Center's rooms will be available for set up one hour prior to the first scheduled start time and should be vacated no more than one hour after the scheduled end time.
A $250 Cleaning Deposit will be refunded if The MTA Tech Center is returned in the same condition it was accepted by the user. To notify MTA host of any cancellations, by email at least 48 hours in advance of the date they are scheduled to use the facilities. Failure to do so will result in a no-show charge of $150.
