The popularity of esports is experiencing explosive growth worldwide. This growth is even felt in our own backyard. MTA leads the esports presence in Alaska and continues to better our communities by enabling meaningful connections and friendly competition.
Our 2020 Virtual Tournament was recognized as the best virtual event by Alaska Business Magazine. In 2021, we hosted the state’s first-ever public esports league, which culminated with another amazing virtual tournament. Our 2022 season saw even more participation and incredible growth in our gaming community.
We at MTA have our sights set on creating even more spectacular local events to empower the next generation and produce exciting spectator events on par with larger international esports tournaments.

Throughout the 2021-2022 league and tournament, our Twitch live streams were popular with spectators, garnering an average reach of 300-450 viewers. We expect this viewer base to continue its rapid growth into the next season.

The MTA Gaming discord has become the hub of Alaskan gamers. It provides a space for our community to come together, get involved, and stay up to date with every MTA Gaming event.
MTA Gaming’s spectators and participants range from youth from our local schools to working-class adults.
In fact, the average age of American gamers is 31 years old, with over 80% of our competitors being over the age of 18.
