No, HBO GO and MAX GO are offered FREE as part of your subscription to HBO and Cinemax. No credit card is required, as no additional charges apply for HBO GO and MAX GO.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Simply click ‘Sign In’ at the top of the screen, select your provider and follow the instructions for resetting or recovering your password.

How do I find shows to watch on HBO GO & MAX GO?
Every month, there are over 1,700 HBO titles available on HBO GO and hundreds of action-packed Cinemax titles available on MAX GO, across a variety of categories. Roll over any show’s image or title for a description. You can also use the ‘Search’ feature on the top right of the screen to find your favorites. Plus with HBO GO Collections and MAX Packs, you can browse themed assortments for whatever fits your mood.
Are the shows on HBO GO & MAX GO closed captioned?
You can watch the majority of shows on HBO GO with closed captions. At this time, closed captions for HBO GO are available on http://www.hbogo.com for desktop/laptop (or via browsers on some other devices), on supported iOS devices, and on certain 2011 and 2012 Samsung® Smart TVs. HBO is actively working to expand closed captioning of its online video programming for other platforms. (Please note that certain software and equipment may not support closed captions. To see if your device supports closed captions, please check with your device manufacturer.)
Are shows on HBO GO & MAX GO offered in HD?
Yes, they are. All you need is a computer and high-speed connection that can support HD. A minimum connection of 3.0Mbps is required for HD viewing on a laptop. Select titles are not available in HD.
There are some HBO & Cinemax shows that I like but can’t find on HBO GO or MAX GO. Where are they?
Some titles may not currently be available. However, the programming on HBO GO and MAX GO is refreshed frequently, so check back because the shows and movies you’re looking for may be available at some point in the future.
Why do shows on HBO GO & MAX GO have expiration dates?
Due to agreements HBO and Cinemax have with their program providers, some content may only be available for a limited time.
How do I set or make changes to my parental controls?
It’s easy to set or modify Parental Controls at any time. Just sign in to HBO GO, click ‘Settings’ and follow the instructions.
I signed up for HBO GO and already set my Parental Controls. Do my HBO GO Parental Control settings also apply to MAX Go?
Yes, Parental Controls are shared between MAX GO and HBO GO. Any changes will apply to both services.
