Welcome to the MTA Gaming Esports League Central, or League Central for short. This is the home of Alaska’s biggest esports community. The 2023 season was our third free, open-to-the-public, ALL-ALASKAN esports league. As always, we give a big “Thank You” to MTA and the MTA Foundation for supporting esports in Alaska, helping to grow the community and technology access across Alaska.
Partnership is more than just a collaboration; it's about building and celebrating the world of gaming together. We're profoundly grateful for the generous support from our sponsors who empowers us to deliver unparalleled experiences for our community. It's allies like them who make the magic of gaming more vibrant and immersive for everyone.

Over the past several years, MTA’s annual gaming tournament has served as a signature event helping promote the MTA Foundation, underscoring our long-running commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. The MTA Foundation serves to pioneer technology growth and economic development throughout Alaska with its robust scholarship program and monumental major grants.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER
A Swiss-system tournament involves participants playing a set number of rounds, but not against every opponent. Players are matched based on current scores to avoid repeats. The winner has the highest total points. It's used when round-robin isn't practical due to many entrants, ensuring no early eliminations. Unlike round-robin or single-elimination, matchups depend on prior results, and one bad game doesn't end a player's chances.
Some games may require an altered format.
Registration closes September 15th.
Regular Season: September 18th - October 27th. The top 8 teams/players will advance to Finals Week based on standings

Games should be played during match nights as much as possible. However, there may be factors for some teams that make this very difficult. For these reasons we will allow matches to be rescheduled if done so 24 hours ahead of the scheduled match time and both teams agree. However if not, no shows result in a forfeit of weekly points.
